the last drawing class

Today was the last drawing class with the adults. What a journey! I believe people were mostly happy. I got good evaluation grades, but a few people found the class too advanced. It is supposed to be a beginning drawing class... I kept it very dynamic, which I can't see as a bad thing, but I may have to change things. Despite my headache at the moment it feels very good to be able to share your skills, and be of service to the community.

the trip to the bathhouse and its darkness

Walking to the outdoor hot tub in the freezing cold.

Paisley's population is 239.

I was very excited to record the sound of walking on pumice rocks.

The town deer's leaps were SO beautiful as they first appeared. By the time I started filming them, they had gone far, and their movements were harder to see and appreciate.

I was glad I was relaxed enough to sketch among 13 other people in a small house one evening. The boy in these photos was happy to pose and was very patient and good at it. He also wanted to have my sketches of him. Even though he said in one he looked 67.

on a branch

The moon was almost full, shining through fast moving clouds. The night air was fresh, and they agreed to walk. On our way back, 3 minutes away from our house, Rumi and I saw a big winged bird fly by. It had landed on a beautiful tree, and as we got closer we were able so see it. Maybe you can too. On the lowest branch. An owl.

fall

We had a great class today. I got to draw for a first time! Eight sketches, and managed to help the students too.

I love doing the blind contour. My left hand holding an Asian pear.

 Parents.

This is blurry, but I love this lady's skirt.
