no meaning

The bunny spent only one night at home. He lives in the back yard now.

 no meaning

During today's class the kids said they wanted to draw a person. I was the person who sat very still.
Love the first one.

And the 41 year old child's drawings. They weren't coming out good, but that was all right.

Good day.

A walk along rows of dahlias.

I am so tired. After ironing fabric for today's class until 2 a.m last night...
My last peaceful experience a few days ago was walking among dahlias. Touching them. Dissolving.
It was so good.
Peace to you.

beautiful warm weather

As I was quite unhappy with my drawings on Friday, I thought that more practice may help. I also bought myself some markers.

Organized my drawers today. Some drawings I threw away, others surprised me, but the free ones (the doodles) are always the most interesting to see. And I have stopped doodling, talking, writing... Anyhow.
Warm wishes.

The rabbit arrived at this time of day.
Evening rabbit? Sunset rabbit?

autumnal bounty

Today was the first day of the beginning drawing class I am teaching. The students are very nice. Was a bit nervous at first, but not for long. I think it went well. Got to use nearly all the materials I had prepared. Some of the plants they drew quickly in a gestural manner. Transported them so in the backpack yesterday, but they were much more beautiful in full, each plant by itself.

Took a photo of the grapes in a busy downtown location. They weren't sour. They were just VERY far away. High in the sky.

A creature tree.
And the bounty.
Hi, I have a very dumb blog. I post pictures of fruits and vegetables on it. Good night.

slowly

I am so happy I started going to life drawing once a week. I am out of practice and the following show how little I can record. Hopefully with time I will get faster, and the drawings will get better.

kale leaves

I thought I was leaving to run a few errands, and was going to quickly fix the stems of the water lilies with a smaller brush and thicker paint. A few hours later I was still working on the painting. Tonal work, whether black and white or color, can be tweaked endlessly. Like some magnet, once you start it is very difficult to stop. It's such a complex interrelated structure that changing one part often forces you to change others.

I completed four of these, and sent them off to their new home. All but one ended up looking very different. More realistic.

  Rumi  yesterday afternoon.

 Pretty kale leaves.
