Sun warmth

 I haven't posted here in a while.

"Ivan, do you know what is funny to me?"
"Everything."
I start laughing.
"Well, I guess, but I meant something else. The moustache and beard dots on your face look like your sweater."

When the stuffed peppers end up being not stuffed.

Sunshine yesterday!

A zoom meeting at 5:15 a.m. thus a rare morning darkness photo.

Current piece on the loom. All silk, but the warp is thread like (3 threads in one), with a paper feel to it, and the weft is shiny. I think combining different materials or textures makes the pieces more interesting.

And sunshine today. I wove and napped on the deck in the afternoon sun today. Sleeping outside season is officially open. Hooray!
Sunlight! Sun warmth!

just light

math and a walk

This is today's scarf. It takes me about 5 hours to make. With this yarn that is. It is prettier in real life :  )

Suddenly pretty colors.

I took a two hour walk today. It was wonderful. There is great creativity in walks. Love the aimless beauty called a walk.

brown, brick red, yellow, grey and blue

Beauty

A bunch of old photos I was given to look at and discard. Haven't done it yet, but this is pretty with it's defects.

I really like this scarf. All the photos below are of it. Unarranged pictures. Just as it was waiting to be washed, wet, drying.

 Sorry if boring.

pretty squash colors

Forever in love with Persian miniatures.

After weaving 16 all right scarves, the one you see above was a complete failure. Not just visually, but technologically. I had to undo half of it, re warp and reweave. I also realized I dislike the yellow strip with a blue one in the middle. Below are some pictures without the yellow/blue strips. The scarf is called greed, fire or soccer team scarf. Anyway.

This squash has the prettiest colors! It it also surreally floating in space.

At home they refer to me as the four year old. Not to disappoint them, I make four year old art. Kind of yucky colors, but we four year olds don't really mind.
